An example of this can be seen in the episode What Time is it For Blue?.Most instances of Steve giving a thumbs up to the viewers were either censored or cut out completely, due to the gesture being deemed offensive in the Middle East.This is because Iran has a law preventing such instruments from being showcased on Iranian television. In addition to songs being cut, any instances where a musical instrument is shown on-screen have also been cut or censored.The So Long Song is also kept in the episode Blue's Sad Day.Despite this, however, the We Are Looking for Blue's Clues and We Just Got a Letter songs are still kept in certain episodes, as is the opening chorus of the Mailtime song.This leads to some awkward jump-cuts, however, as a lot of these song sequences lead into other scenes. Nearly every song has been cut, possibly due to controversy regarding whether music is considered haram or not in Islamic culture. ![]() Several changes were made to a number of scenes and episodes in order to comply with Iranian broadcasting regulations and to better reflect Islamic culture.
